Choose the collection point before the cheapest rate
If you are sleeping in Bangkok tonight, taking bags to the accommodation can be the simplest start even before the room is ready. Ask whether it accepts bags before check-in, what it charges and when someone will be there. A rental apartment with self check-in may have no staffed reception or bag room.
If you are leaving Bangkok tonight, work backwards from your departure airport. A hotel on the other side of your sightseeing route can turn a free bag drop into an extra cross-city journey. The useful question is: where can you collect everything and continue towards the correct terminal?

What two or four bags really cost
AIRPORTELs' terms effective 1 May 2026 charge a started 24-hour period as a whole day. For ordinary bags staying within the first period:

The calculation is bag count × the published per-item price. It excludes transport, delivery and special-item charges. A two-bag party saves THB100 by using the airport instead of MBK, before counting any journey made just to reach it. That saving can disappear if airport collection adds another paid ride or consumes the afternoon.
Storage and delivery are separate services. If you want bags moved to another branch, arrange that explicitly and confirm the latest accepted drop-off and collection time. Do not assume a storage booking sends them to the airport.
Bellugg is another BKK option, with a different tariff
The AOT facility directory lists Bellugg on arrivals level 2, gate 4, and departures level 4, rows P/Q. Its directory rates are THB150/180/200 per 24 hours for small/medium/large items. The listed small dimensions are 35 × 56 × 22cm; medium is 45 × 65 × 28cm.
A separate AOT booking offer displays lower prices and different size bands. These are different published offers, so ask which product your reservation buys and retain the accepted quote. Do not arrive expecting a promotional price to apply automatically at the counter.
For a BKK arrival, the public arrivals counter may spare you a basement trip. For someone already heading to the rail station, the basement branch may fit better. That is a route choice as much as a price comparison.
Make the drop-off easy to reverse
- Check the branch, date, number of items and collection window in the booking or counter quote.
- Keep your passport, medication, payment card, phone and flight documents with you. AIRPORTELs requires physical identification and does not allow partial retrieval from stored bags under its published terms.
- Photograph the bag tags and keep the receipt. Confirm who may collect if your party splits up.
- Ask for the final amount if you collect after a 24-hour boundary or arrive late. An MBK daily rate does not mean overnight access; collection is during branch hours and late service is conditional, with extra charges.
- If the branch cannot accept your bag, use the accommodation only after it confirms acceptance, or take the bags directly to your departure airport. Avoid repeatedly trying distant counters with your flight deadline approaching.
For the rest of the day, use the checkout-to-late-flight plan. Changing airports requires a separate BKK–DMK transfer plan; storing luggage at the arrival airport would add a return journey you may not want.
