Prices and what you pay at the counter
The official observatory page lists one standard price for all hours of the day:
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Adult | ¥2,000 |
| Age 4–12 | ¥500 |
| Under 4 | Free |
| Adult with a disability certificate | ¥1,000 (companion pays the same) |
| Child with a disability certificate | ¥250 (companion pays the same) |
| Group of 10+, adult / child | ¥1,800 / ¥450 |
Tickets are sold at the counter on the 39th floor, which takes cash, credit cards and certain contract coupons. The operator also links to an online ticket sold through Klook, a third-party reseller; we did not check that price, so compare it with the counter price before paying a booking fee. A combined ticket with the Koji Kinutani Tenku Art Museum is sold at the observatory window, but the page does not give its price.
Hours and last entry
The observatory is open 9:30–22:30, with last admission at 22:00. The page lists no regular closing day. The open-air rooftop floor "may be closed in case of heavy rain".
Special evenings change the rules. For the Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival, the operator required a special ticket during the evening slot and admitted those holders from 18:00. The notice still on the page when we checked referred to 18 October 2025, so a 2026 or 2027 fireworks night needs a fresh check.
Free before 15:00 with the Osaka Amazing Pass
The Umeda Sky Building is on the Osaka Amazing Pass's list of free facilities: free admission with the pass until 15:00, and 10% off from 15:00. The pass page prices the 1-day pass at ¥3,500 and the 2-day pass at ¥5,000, the same for adults and children, on sale until 31 March 2027.
That cut-off decides when you go:
| Your situation | Best time | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Holding an Amazing Pass anyway | Arrive by 15:00 | ¥0 |
| Pass holder who wants the night view | After 15:00 | ¥1,800 adult (10% off ¥2,000) |
| No pass | Any time, 9:30–22:00 entry | ¥2,000 adult |
| Child aged 4–12 with no pass | Any time | ¥500 |
For a child aged 4–12, the observatory saves little toward a pass: a ¥3,500 child pass to save a ¥500 ticket only works out if the transport and other sights cover the rest. Our Amazing Pass break-even guide does that arithmetic for a full day.

Getting there from Osaka Station
The operator publishes an 11-step walking route from JR Osaka Station. In short:
The page gives the same style of route from Hankyu Osaka-umeda and Osaka Metro Umeda, each through the same underground walkway, but no walking times. The route includes stairs at both ends of the walkway; the page gives an elevator route only for wheelchair users in school groups (the high-floor elevator from the first floor of Tower East). The observatory entrance is on the 3rd floor of the building. To reach Umeda in the first place, see our Osaka Metro fares guide.
Umeda Sky or Abeno Harukas?
| Umeda Sky Building | HARUKAS 300 | |
|---|---|---|
| Adult, same day | ¥2,000 | ¥2,200 |
| Child | ¥500 (4–12) | ¥900 (6–14) |
| Last admission | 22:00 | 30 minutes before closing |
| Amazing Pass | Free until 15:00 | Not on the free list |
| Viewing deck | Open-air rooftop | Glass-enclosed 60th floor |
HARUKAS 300 prices are from its ticket page, checked 3 November 2026. Note the different child age bands before comparing family totals. If you are staying near Tennoji or holding no pass, the HARUKAS 300 guide covers its hours, re-entry ticket and access. If your day ends at Universal Studios Japan, the USJ route guide starts from the same Osaka Station.
